My Predictions For Nintendo in 2009
2009 is quickly approaching and I think it’s about time yours truly looks into his magical crystal ball and let all of you know what I believe will happen for Nintendo in the coming year (plus I’m kind of bored so I thought some of you may enjoy this).
Guessing is always fun and I can guarantee EVERYTHING* on this list will come true… So, without further ado, here are my predictions for Nintendo:
*maybe not everything….but it could happen*
The Conduit is Released and despite great reviews, it doesn’t sell too great.
How many times have we seen this? A title is released for Wii and despite getting great reviews, the game just struggles at retail. I am not saying that I don’t think the title will be great (heck I’m buying it), I just don’t think, for some reason, The Conduit is going to sell like crazy…MAKE ME WRONG GAMERS!
3rd Parties FINALLY Get it Right:
Monster Hunter 3, Dragon Quest X, Deadly Creatures, The Conduit, Arc Rise Fantasia, Final Fantasy, House of the Dead: Overkill and may more titles will all be released next year and the games look amazing. I think that 2009 is going to be the year where 3rd party titles finally get respectable on Wii. Click here and check out why we think 2009 is going to be a great year for hardcore gamers.
E3 2009:
-A new Mario Party is announced with full online play and will be available for Christmas
-A new Zelda is shown and looks AMAZING
-Star Fox is still missing in action (make me wrong Nintendo!!)
-A Hard Drive still isn’t announced
-A new Mario title is shown and makes a lot of people mad (I don’t know why, I just have a feeling)
-Nintendo DS has a great showing with no successor (besides DSi) shown. Look for more expanded functionality for dual screen system along with a sequel to the uber popular Super Mario Bros.
Wii’s Bubble still Does Not Pop Despite Being on Store Shelves For 3 Years
I think it’s safe to say that Wii will still continue to sell at alarming rates and show no signs of slowing. Despite a weak economy, no HD support, huge increases in production and a plethora of “casual” titles, the Nintendo Wii still sells out. I think it’s safe to assume that Wii will continue to dominate well into 2009 (although I do see Sony gaining a lot of ground) and will still be the system of choice among the gaming community.
Nintendo Takes Over The World

Look at the connector of the nunchuck in that pic!! Why is it so big. and
why is the cord so small.
Dude, Aaron, it’s something like a “special connector” to put it just simply, most frequently used in Nintendo Events for conection security iirc.
I figured as much, but it was bugging me.
